Meet Our Speakers

Dr. Stephen Mansfield

Author, Speaker, and Historian (Author of The Faith of George Bush)

Stephen grew up as the son of a US Army officer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history and philosophy and later a master’s in history and public policy and a doctorate in history and literature. He began writing books, hosted a radio show, spoke widely, and led a number of social- service organizations. Then, in 2002, he came to international attention with his book, The Faith of George W. Bush, which landed on the New York Times bestseller list twice. While managing his busy writing and speaking life, he founded a company that helps prominent figures and top organizations produce high-quality books. He began training leaders, often appearing at conferences around the world. He also began coaching leaders to speak well, something he has done with politicians, leading artists, bestselling authors, and at major universities.

Phil Nicaud

Founder/CEO - Legendary Leadership Consultants

After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Phil purchased and founded multiple businesses, primarily in the oil and gas industry. Phil then founded and currently serves as CEO of Legendary Leadership Consultants located in Mandeville, Louisiana. As chief strategist he has coached hundreds of top-level leaders across America. He leads his clients through a unique planning process that gives them a huge advantage in reaching their potential in every area of life.

Today Philip, his wife, Alisa and their five children live just north of New Orleans, Louisiana. The Nicaud family is involved in their community and passionate about serving others.

Brandon Shaefer

CEO and Founder, Five Capitals

Brandon is the founder, CEO of Five Capitals. He works with business leaders and owners, offering coaching and consulting – helping them to change their lives and grow their business. Through biblical application, the focus is helping them live an integrated life, discover a “life to the full” and increase their spiritual and strategic confidence in the workplace. Brandon has coached hundreds of individuals, groups and couples over the years. A sought-after speaker all over the world, he has engaged with thousands through workshops and conferences, as business / church leaders seek to benefit from the initiatives core concepts.

Brandon is a graduate from Iowa State University in International Business, Agricultural Business and Spanish. After graduating, Brandon worked for Motorola in Glasgow, Scotland and then Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis in their strategic marketing departments respectively.

After years in the corporate world, Brandon felt called to work in the local church. Since then he’s completed a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Asbury Seminary. In ministry, Brandon served as the Adult Discipleship Pastor at East 91st Street Christian Church in Indianapolis and most recently as the Pastor of Discipleship, Leadership and Outreach Ministries at Southland Christian Church in Lexington, KY.

Brandon has a passion for developing leaders and serves as a coach for a number of different non-profit and organizational leaders. He’s a gifted discipler, leader, strategic planner, Myers-Briggs / Enneagram guru and loves seeing people reach their full potential. He lives in Pawleys Island, SC and is married to his lovely wife T.J. and they have three daughters, Eva, Teagan and Hazel.

Pam Abide

Managing Partner, New Orleans Equity Partners

Pam Abide is Managing Partner of New Orleans Equity Partners and an entrepreneur and investor who operated her own service/retail business for 17 years in both the Mandeville and Metairie communities of Louisiana. Pam believes in nurturing strong business relationships that creates a win-win for all parties involved. As a confident, driven professional who reacts quickly to opportunities that produce yield high returns, Pam focuses upon project development and acquisitions. She has successfully completed numerous investment and real estate transactions within the Greater New Orleans and Southeastern regions, as well as, Southwest Louisiana.

Her extensive network of contacts has allowed Pam to partner with some of the most respected and experienced people in the real estate industry, producing more than $1 billion dollars of real estate development experience. Pam and her business partners successfully collaborate to manage the complexities of real estate developments.

Her vast knowledge of finance, design, environmental, zoning and execution has made her a recognized leader in the business community. Additionally, Pam is a Managing Partner of Paragon Business Capital, which is a firm that provides alternative financing, commonly known as Factoring, for small and mid-size businesses who want to increase business revenue and profitability.

Ms. Abide hails from Birmingham, Alabama, and has resided in Louisiana for more than 35 years. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa with a Bachelor of Arts specializing in the field of Communications. As a resident of St. Tammany Parish for more than 32 years Ms. Abide has supported civic organizations such as the St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce and St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation and is a Board Member of James Storehouse Louisiana. She is the proud mother of two grown children, Kimberly Abide Bergeron, Christopher, and a beautiful grandson, Luke and granddaughter, Olivia.

Sharon Foreman

Managing Partner, New Orleans Equity Partner

Serving as Director of Finance and Investor Relations with New Orleans Equity Partners, based in Covington, LA, Sharon’s primary focus includes Land Investment, Fossil Fuels Investments and Real Estate Development. She works closely with local leaders and influencers in the markets she is invested in to ensure success in those markets. Her knowledge and experience with acquisitions and structuring of successful projects bring many creative ideas to enhance profitability. Her active participation in the marketplace has enhanced her ability to make a difference locally and to stay connected in a constantly changing and emerging marketplace.

Previously, Sharon worked in Quality Control Management in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. She has garnered knowledge and experience in Quality Assurance, Procurement, Vendor Auditing, Scheduling and Import/Export Distribution, in a highly regulated Industry, where she garnered knowledge and skills that have served her well in her business career.

She also was the Co Founder of Another Broken Egg of America Franchise Business which started in 2001, and continues today to be a very successful Restaurant Franchise Business. She sold her interest in 2007 to focus primarily in Real Estate Development.

Sharon now partners with some of the most experienced people in the Real Estate Industry and brings a management team with over $1 billion dollars of Real Estate development experience. Sharon helps to navigate through the complexities of zoning, design, environmental, finance and execution of Real Estate development projects.

James (Bo) Thibaut II

Financial Advisor

Bo spent his growing up years wanting to be an engineer who would design, build and construct. He graduated in 2001 from Auburn University with a mechanical engineering degree and a focus in economics, heat transfer and stress analysis in semi-conductor chips. He immediately went to work for his family's business. As the CEO and leader of the business, Bo grew the company from 10 million in revenue to over 100 million in revenue and 850 employees over a 6-year period. He traveled the world building power plants in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Chile and Colombia among others.

As he grew in his career, he found that he had a deep desire to help people grow personally and financially. Before the sale of the family business, he became frustrated with the lack of help from the wealth advisors and insurance agents that were working with him. He knew that upon the sale of his business that he would get into the financial planning field and be a market disrupter.

He initially started his financial planning career with great success at Northwestern Mutual, but decided to form an independent planning practice, Thibaut Financial Strategies, to truly help his clients position themselves from a fee structure and the proper amount of risk management. While a large part of his practice is business owners, he has a focus on helping people that are fed up with status quo in the financial industry.

Bo has a family of 6, a wife, three daughters and a son. His wife owns a business called Thibaut Insurance, complimenting Thibaut Financial Strategies.
